Kelly and I spent a week in Costa Rica in May of 2001 with 22 friends and enjoyed every minute. We started partying the minute we left Greg & Dianna Longhurst's home. Bob Grabowski provided a gallon of Bloody Mary's for the trip to Miami Airport. The 2 hour plane trip was uneventful.

This web site contains photos from our trip organized by places we visited, and subjects Joe photographed. Click each button at the left of this page to navigate to each location/subject.

Our friend Jon Schmid also has some excellent photos of the trip on his web site. jon-schmid.com

Joe and Kelly at the Sarchi artist gallary. The painted oxcarts or carretas are the international symbol of Costa Rica. They were used to carry coffee, but today are only used as a decorative item.
We hired a guide named Berny Gutierrez to help plan and lead us on our trip. Berny did a spectacular job and we highly recommend him to anyone planning to visit Costa Rica.

Berny can be reached at: berny@compusource.net or phone: (506) 282-2145
