We took a raft trip down a river and stopped at a local farm house for lunch.
We travelled in a group of 3 rafts. |
This group was having too much fun. |
There were iguanas everywhere you looked. These guys were actually photographed from a bridge not far from the river. |
They like to hang out near a restaurant where the owners and patrons feed them, hence they are very approachable. The locals call them Tree Chickens. |
The family that lives on this farm are in some of the most primitive conditions in Costa Rica. They do not have electricity, but were able to provide us with a wonderful lunch in exchange for some money in an arrangement with our guides. |
The grandfather, Pedro, is extremely well read considering he only has a grade school education. Although we didn't speak a common language, he was very courtious, and loved to have his picture taken. |
